ACTING HISTORY
Since starting his professional career in 1977 he has appeared in over 30 feature films, numerous short films and television commercials, over 70 television productions and over 80 stage plays.
THE DISH, in which he played Bob McIntyre the Mayor of Parkes, is the highest grossing locally financed independent Australian film this century with an Australian Box Office of over $18m.
He appeared as Sam Pickles in Company B Belvoir’s acclaimed 2001 international tour of the play CLOUDSTREET, based on Tim Winton’s much loved Australian novel. The production played to sell-out houses in Sydney and Brisbane before touring to the National Theatre in London, the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York and the Kennedy Centre in Washington.
His award winning role as Aussie Bob Trimbole in UNDERBELLY : A TALE OF TWO CITIES was seen by 3.9m people nationwide in its opening episode in Australia (nearly 20% of the population) in March 2009…a record audience for an Australian drama.
Back in the 90s in a series of TV commercials for Nike playing Aussie Rules Football nerd Ewen McCormick the character became so popular with footy fans that he was mobbed when making personal appearances at games in Melbourne and Adelaide.
